To upgrade the capabilities of our email content builder within Playbooks, we’ve released a custom MJML Code Block. This enables Playbook Designers to fully customize any email by writing MJML code within this block of the email communication content.

How is the MJML Block for Email Content Used?

Considerations:

• The Symend Platform does NOT validate the MJML code. We suggest users write, test, and validate MJML code in off-platform development environments or tools and then copy the correct code into the email block.

• Personalization tags can be used within the text editor.

• Links to internal landing pages are not supported.

• Use image links that you’ve previously loaded into the Platform for communication outreaches.

• We encourage that MJML is only used at the section level (alongside the no-code blocks) so that ongoing management of the code doesn't not become a problem.

• Our suggested format that includes the following in the input box <section> </section>

• Click the “Add Custom MJML” Button to add the content section

• Add your Custom MJML Code (you can build it here but you won’t be able to validate the content so we suggest you build it in another environment, test it there, and then copy the validated code here).

• Click the “Save” Button.

• Click “Send Preview” and type your email address to view a test of your MJML Code Block email message.
