Symend Release Notes – v2025.R24 (December 2025)

Overview

This release delivers significant advancements across the Symend Platform, including in-app Delinquency Archetypes, enhanced Symend Prevent reporting, and flexible email recipient configuration. Alongside these major features, we’ve introduced targeted improvements and critical stability fixes that strengthen performance and expand the platform’s orchestration and analytics capabilities.

Cure Insights: Bringing Symend Scores and Repeat Delinquency Archetypes on Platform

We’re excited to announce the release of Cure Insights on the Symend Platform, bringing Symend Scores, Repeat Delinquency Archetypes (RDA), and Baseline Delinquency Archetypes (BDA) fully in-app. This launch removes off-platform pipelines and manual processes, enabling users to configure, activate, and leverage predictive insights directly within their Playbooks.

Cure Insights is fully automated and continuously optimized, delivering increasingly precise predictions as more customer history becomes available. The platform begins with BDA, builds granular predictions with Symend Scores, and reaches the highest confidence with RDA. With platform-native inference, Symend can tailor engagement strategies to each customer’s unique archetype, ensuring that outreach is targeted, relevant, and highly effective.

Key Benefits

  • End-to-end automation: Model training, evaluation, and inference run automatically Cure Insights are enabled.

  • In-app visibility and configuration: Users can activate insights, confirm configuration requirements, and view results directly in the Platform.

  • Improving insight quality over time: Predictions strengthen as history accumulates, progressing from BDA to Scores to high-confidence RDA outputs.

  • Faster time to value: Self-service setup and fully managed model operations significantly shorten activation timelines.

Key Improvements

  • Fully automated model operations: Training, evaluation, and inference run on platform without manual intervention.

  • Automated account updates: Inference results are written directly to the Account record, removing the need for custom data mapping.

  • Improved model accuracy: A more comprehensive evaluation methodology provides consistent, reliable, and statistically sound model performance.

  • In-app reporting: Dashboards show population distribution, KPI performance by archetype, and archetype drift over time.

  • Simplified archetype framework: Archetypes are now streamlined to four categories (HCHR, HCLR, LCHR, LCLR), eliminating the previous Medium Capacity and Medium Readiness variants.

Ability to send emails to an address stored in any Attribute

SecondaryEmail-Config.gif

Users can now select any string-based Customer Attribute as the recipient email source in a Send Email control. Previously limited to the default Email attribute, this update removes constraints for clients using multiple files or secondary email fields and provides greater flexibility in message orchestration.

A new searchable dropdown—“Recipient’s email address”—is available in the Send Email settings, showing only string attributes. At runtime, the platform uses the selected attribute and provides clear EmailFailed feedback if the value is empty or invalid.

Key Benefits

  • Flexible orchestration: Select any string-based attribute as the email recipient source, enabling support for secondary and client-specific email fields.

  • Reduced workarounds: Removes dependency on the default Email attribute, eliminating complex DWS mapping hacks.

  • Better data alignment: Ensures messages go to the correct customer address in multi-file or multi-function client environments.

Symend Prevent users can now view, filter, and analyze Prevent KPIs, including Delinquency Archetypes, through improved dashboards, richer data pipelines, and more reliable metrics.

These enhancements lay the foundation for scalable reporting as additional clients onboard to Symend Prevent.

Key Benefits

  • Improved insight into Prevent performance: Provides a clear, accurate view of how Prevent is performing at both the client and population levels.

  • Richer analytics with expanded KPIs: Enables analysis that includes Delinquency Archetypes and other critical Prevent signals.

  • Greater usability through filtering and visualization: Offers interactive filters and visual representations that help users explore Prevent outcomes more intuitively.

Bug Fixes

Organization Settings

Fixed an issue where only one worksheet was used to update organization Industry values. The migration now applies updates from all sheets to ensure each organization has the correct Industry type.

Extensible Messaging Control

Fixed an issue where extensible control events exported with an account snapshot ID of all zeros. Exports now include the correct snapshot ID for each account.

Fixed an issue where eventName and userInput were not captured or shown in Customer Trail or Exports. These details are now stored and displayed correctly.

Fixed an issue where events sent immediately after dispatch failed due to a missing MessageId. Events now record reliably without causing subsequent failures.

Fixed an issue where Extensible Channel messages containing accented or non-ASCII characters (such as “é”) failed HMAC validation and returned 401 errors. Message signing now uses UTF-8 encoding, allowing French and other Unicode content to be sent successfully.

Engagement Rate Module

Fixed an issue where the Engagement Rate module returned no data if no mature executions existed within the last 30 days. The system now correctly falls back to the latest available mature executions.

Config Service Stability

Fixed an issue that triggered millions of unintended requests to the Config Service after R23, causing repeated crashes. The underlying Prevent logic has been corrected to restore normal service stability.
